Delicate methods of painting will be taught by
demonstration. Hands-on practice in handling brushes,

Students
will be exposed to different techniques for drawing.
Particular emphasis will be placed on perspective, line,

Specialized
lessons on drawing plants form the garden. Basic forms
and textures from nature will be emphasized. Beginners
and advanced gardeners and art students are welcomed into
the wonderful world of gardening and recording garden

Drawing Basics & colored Pencils |
This class
is designed for beginning and advanced artists. A
great opportunity to learn new basic drawing techniques. You
will explore and develop drawing methods using colored
pencils. Instruction will focus on realistic rendering
of landscapes, seascapes, and still life. Class will
focus on developing student sills. Students provide
tools and supplies. |

Jewelry Making- All Levels |
Design and create original
jewelry of sterling silver! Basic instruction will
include 'lost' wax casting and the hand and machine skills
necessary for finishing jewelry. More advanced
construction methods and techniques offered for the more
experienced students. Students provide some
tools/supplies. |

Knotting and Beading |
Beginning students will be
introduced to basic Chinese knots, knotting between beads,
quick transfer of pearls and putting on a clasp.
Continuing students will advance to more complex project
using carious findings and learning other design techniques.

Picture Matting |
Do your own
custom picture matting at a fraction of the cost for
professional work! Also learn to use double and triple
mat techniques for mounting artwork, to select materials and
tools and use them to your advantage. There will be
demonstrations and opportunity for hands-on practice.

Scrapbooking Techniques A to Z |
Lettering,
borders, coordinating colors, journalizing, punch art,
rubber stamping and tool tricks will be topics in this
course. Come, relax, learn, and enjoy! Plenty of
cropping time and tools available. Students provide

Tile Painting: Glazed/Bisque |
If you can
trace, you can do this! Come and create works of art
on tile! Two step-by-step projects will be
demonstrated in class plus time to work on your own
creations. Our techniques can also be used on other
ceramic pieces. Beginners and experienced painters
welcome! Supply list will be handed out at the first
class. Students will provide some tools and supplies. |

Watercolor techniques |
All levels
welcome. Learn color application, art principles and
viewing with an artist's eye. Class covers a variety
of subjects which may include florals, still life, sea,
landscapes and portraits. Through demonstrations and
personal instructions, you will reach goals and become an
artist. The afternoon class normally allows for more
individual instruction. Students provide tools and

dance with emphasis on learning all aspect of belly dance

Learn basic
guitar chords and arpeggios using the Beatles as a model.
The class also includes a study of the song writing
process and a musical background of the Beatles.

Classical Guitar-Beginning |
Learn basic
classical techniques and several simple pieces. After
a few weeks students will be able to read guitar music and
be able to use both hands to play tunes with chords and
arpeggios. Students must bring a guitar to participate

extensively on classical guitar techniques including scales,
arpeggios, and reading music. Both solos pieces and
duets will be studied. Student-chosen favorite pieces

Notes, note values, chords and pedaling will be taught.
