Bookkeeping and Accounting classes offer important skills not only for working directly in a bookkeeping position or in an accounting office, but for jobs in almost all businesses.
Whether you work directly in the accounting field, a law or medical office, are a small business owner, insurance agency or retail business have some knowledge of bookkeeping procedures will be extremely beneficial.
This course is a manual accounting class providing students with a foundation in how a double-entry accounting system works including debits/credits, assets, liabilities, equity, depreciation and much more.
You will learn to keep accounting records for a sole proprietorship, partnership or a corporation.
TAS
offers two Accounting Certificates: A beginning accounting certificate and a
intermediate/advanced certificate.
After completion of these two levels of manual accounting, TAS also offers a computerized accounting class using QuickBooks. QuickBooks is a popular computerized system that is used my many small to medium sized businesses and has specialized add-ins for specific businesses (construction, legal offices, etc.).
Certificate requirements may require more than a single tem to complete. You will be informed about the requirements needed to earn a certificate as well as class attendance necessary to earn this award.
