Policies and Terms

classrooms.
Classroom policies
No food or drinks are allowed in Career Technical Education
classrooms due to the equipment used and OSHA safety standards for
classrooms used for some disciplines.
- Cell phones must be turned on 'vibrate' or turned off during class time.
- Students are encouraged to participate in discussions that are part of the class, but should respect others. Do not carry-on personal conversations in the classroom.
- The course have specific curriculum to cover; please do not ask personal technical and procedural question while the class is being conducted, wait until break or after class to ask those questions of your teacher.
- TAS instructors are not personal consultants and cannot offer advice to you for your business operations. TAS staff does not recommend specific equipment, companies, or programs to students, but may offer several alternatives as guides.
Refund policy
Register carefully:
A $10 processing fee for any refund request.
Any refund request must be submitted in writing before the
class meets for the second time. After the second class meeting there
are no refunds and transfers will require a $10.00 transfer fee.
Transfers can only be made within the same department.
Note: transfers are limited to space available in the class and
student readiness. Transfers made after the second class are not
refunded.
There are no refunds on textbooks, workbooks, supplies or
uniforms purchased by the student.

You may email requests for help regarding classroom assignments or material covered in your classroom to your teacher's TAS email address.
Be sure to include a subject line: Course title-Student request when you send your teacher an email.

It is always a good idea to get acquainted with classmates and exchange emails etc Some classmates may want to get together to study, discuss material introduced in the classroom. Levy Adult School has a student study room available to all Career Education students (Room 21, which will be open from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM for your convenience.
You should never feel obligated to provide your personal email to anyone however.
